Part I - Learning how to read and notate rhythm

Students will learn how to read and notate rhythms using an iconic rhythm notation that we call the box method

   

Topics covered in this part of the lesson:

-Rhythm is the combination of long sounds, short sounds and silence

-Duration is the length of sound or silence

-Rhythm can be written and read using the box method to show duration
